This summer I spent some time in Europe, and after a visit to France and Denmark and before a visit to Finland, I had a few days to explore new regions of Italy I haven’t explored before. I first did Turin and the nearby mountains, and then made it down to the coastline for a day exploring Genoa. I parked at the city center, walked around exploring the narrow alleys, went up some observation decks, and finally arrived at the pier, to visit the funky marine history museum. Only a short day to check out the highlights, but it was overall quite enjoyable. It was hot, and some areas, north-east of the marine, were a bit dodgy, but other than that it’s a city with an interesting atmosphere, and a bit different from other places I visited in Italy. Maybe should have lingered for longer.
For now, here are my photo visions impressions of Genoa.
The city center…
Some observation decks up Church towers…
The narrow alleys…
Port marina area…
And back through old town …
