On my return from a roadtrip east from Mexico City, after visiting Puebla and Oaxaca, I stopped over in Cholula, not far from Puebla. It hosts the “great pyramid” and the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios on top of the mountain next to it, with lots of spooky underground tunnels discovered in the pyramid mountain. I started my visit by walking the tunnels, then visiting the main pyramid site. I then hiked up the mountain to the sancatury on top to get spectualar views of the region, and finally walked through the colorful streets of Cholula to taste some local food and catch some of the local vibe in the churches and parks.
Shall we?
