In my last voyage I had a stopover in Turkey with some spare time and decided to make a 2-day trip out of it at the Antalya province. The reputation I know about for that area was that it’s all about all-inclusive resorts and beaches, but Antalya is so much more than that. From the cloud-high mountains of Tahtali reachable via a scenic cable car to the ancient cities of Phaselis and Perge dating back over 5000 years and then there are the endless gorgeous coastline with pristine clear water beaches. On my first day I stayed near the Antalya old city and soaked in the Turkish experience of Mosques, antiques, and delicious food, and on the following morning I rented a car and roamed around the province. It was way too short, I’ll definitely need to make my way back to Turkey to explore more.
Here’s a photo summary of these wonderful 2 days…
