Over the weekend I had the pleasure of visiting a nearby city I’ve been meaning to go see for a long time – Ghent. It’s a charming old town, filled with canals and cathedrals, with a laid back bohemian feel to it, lots of options for drinks and food, music and culture everywhere. It was a very short visit, so all I could do is do the obvious boat trip around the main canals, and go up a cathedral to the observation deck for a panoramic view of the city. The following day, I made a quick visit to the local University of Ghent campus and was impressed by local academia. Overall, a great visit, look forward to visiting again soon.

To kick things off, here is a bit from my photowalk around lovely Ghent…
