I’ve used the Dusseldorf airport quite a number of times, but have never really taken the time to go see the city itself. One lovely Sunday, I decided to take the quick 1.5 hours bus from Maastricht to go explore Dusseldorf. I spent a day walking around the old town and the Rhine river and visiting a couple of the local attractions. Dusseldorf perhaps isn’t the nicest city to see in the area, but the grand river and the German architecture of the old town are worth a short visit.
