Cambridge is one of the top universities in the world, and one of the first, with centuries of top notch academia and some of the world’s greatest minds. It is also a very pretty university/college town with lovely old architecture and pretty canals. I’ve been wanting to visit for a very long time, but only had a chance to go recently for a quick visit, and Cambridge did not disappoint. I walked on my own a few times, joined a free walking tour, and no matter which way you choose to do it, there’s something pretty and interesting in every corner. I also had the chance to venture into some of the more restricted areas with a hosting professor, and dine in some of the inner areas of the college, and that made it even more special. It also helped that during that time was open day for the university, so there was unrestricted access to other hidden areas, like old libraries, old chapels, and everything else that’s old and Cambridgy. I could see myself lingering here for a bit and experiencing a bit more of the local academia, some day.
For now, here are some of my visions of Cambridge…
