National Cheng Kung University’s Chinese Language Center (NCKU’s CLC) prepared a special treat for the Chinese students this week with a 3 day weekend tour.
First day we went off to the places I’m already well familiar with – Confucius Temple, the Taiwanese Literature Museum and a series of old temples next to the Chikan towers.
Second day we got up early in the morning and headed out on 3 buses up to the small lovely town of Lugang. We spend half a day touring around the local museums and walking down the charming alleys.
We then continued up to Taipei to take part in yet another surprise cultural show. The NCKU students were helping to raise funds for special needs children by asking people to donate their receipts. After settling down at the 22nd floor in the Family Hostel, most of the students spread out to find a Halloween party, and rumor has it that Luxy’s was pretty lively. I spent my time going around my old student area of Shida, missing my old TLI friends and reliving some of the good memories almost every place in Shida has in my heart.
The last day we spent going to some of Taipei’s old temples, like Longshan, and then taking a ferry to northern Danshui.
It was, surprisingly, an enjoyable weekend all together. I really missed Taipei, I should go back up soon…
Very true!!! Let me know if you want to see any of the pictures.
Ofcourse I would.
Any chance you’d upload some of them to INCKU?
