At the beginning of the summer I had a chance to go visit Polish Gdansk, a lovely old town with many atmospheric restaurants and cafes, maritime history and port area. To get a feel for the city you might want to head up an observation deck and a good place for that is the old Saint Mary Church offering panoramic views in every direction. The church itself dates back to the 16th century built on ruins of a house of worship from the 13th century. It is one of the largest of its kind anywhere in the world and the tower is over a 100 meters long. Following the second world war it was almost completely reconstructed and is now one of the highlights of Gdansk.
What can you expect to see from above?
It’s a steep way up through old wooden stairs with large bells…
A quick look inside the grand church…

Something nice to do when arriving to get a perspective of the the old town from above.
