In 2015 I visited Philadelphia shortly, and got a chance to explore a bit of the city. In 2019 I came back for longer, and had a chance to revisit many of the old places and see a few new ones. Moved around and stayed in different sections, got to do a lot of interesting things, and experience a bit of the local vibe. It was a powered nostalgia tour with a twist.
Philadelphia city center, around City Hall…
Heading up Benjamin Franklin Parkway…
Reaching all the way to Philadelphia Museum of Art….
I stayed for a couple of nights on the eastern river side, near Spruce Street Harbor Park…
From which you can walk to the historic Philadelphia area…
Though most time I spent in the area near the vibrant lively South street…
Where I caught a few shows/concerts…
And my last nights were spent in the northern area near China Town and the market…
Which isn’t too far from the center of it all…
And, on the western side, once crossing the river and union station…
Are Drexel and UPenn…
