Though I’ve been to Xiamen before and toured around the charming Gulang Island, my recent trip to see the Taiwanese Kinmen islands – just a ferry ride from Xiamen – gave me an opportunity for a brief revisit. Though it’s a fairly small island, the revisit took me to new places I’ve yet to explore, discovering new beaches and various hidden gems throughout. This is definitely my kind of island, I’d dare say the revisit was even better than the first time. Weather was good, locals were friendly, food was delicious, what more can I ask for?
Want to see a bit of my revisit captures? Here goes.
Funky looking tiny islands next to Chinese style beaches…
Charming Chinese gardens…
Old colonial European history and architecture surrounded by gigantic shadowing trees…
Locals enjoying the local attractions and lots of food…
And endless engaged couples taking wedding photos with the beautiful surroundings…
A charming little island. Definitely one of my highlights so far in China.
Great blog and photos! I am visiting XIamen in about 2 weeks and your blog had been very inspiring about what to see.
