Here’s a weird one for you, coming from Haaselt Belgium. Visiting Haaslet for the first time with my parents we were looking for something quick and touristy in the area. After catching a Cosplay event at the Japanese gardens we looked up Tripadvisor to see what else was in the area, and it directed us to a speciality museum – the Park of Nature and Culture. Sounds promising, doesn’t it?
When we arrived there was an unbelievable stench in the air from the nearby field that has just laid out a fresh layer of manur, and there was no one there but a very old lady who seemed somewhat annoyed by our visit. After getting the very expensive tickets we were pointed out to the nearby garden, where we walked between greenery statues of all types and sorts. A while later a man came in and gave and intro of the place to my parents, but by that time – even though this was a weird and funky place – I had completely lost interest and was ready to leave. I honestly didn’t get the point of this place, but I can appreciate the effort to keep up the gardening to maintain these green statues. Till now I am now entirely sure what the culture aspect of this garden-museum was.
What does it look like? Have a look for yourself…
Location:
Definitely not a must if you’re in the area, but if you’re into quirky little attractions, then this might be just for you.
