I was invited to visit Lausanne University, and was put up in the old city center of Lausanne. The city is gorgeous, and the old town is spread out of a few hills and valleys. I didn’t have much time to explore everything, but I did take a few strolls around the center, visiting the old Lausanne Cathedral, Palais de Rumine, and several parks in the area. It’s all easy to explore on foot, and if you’d rather avoid climbing up hills, there’s a very efficient system of buses and a tram that are free for tourists staying in local hotels. The sunsets overlooking the Geneva lake from the hill tops are especially nice.
Here’s a bit from my walk around the old center area of Lausanne…

Hope to make it back to explore more someday soon.
