In my first ever short visit to Berlin I stayed in the museum island area, which features some of the Berlin highlights and world-class museums, which finally led to being added to the UNESCO list of world heritage sites. Lots to see and do, and I did only a bit of all that this area has to offer. Obviously, there’s the Berlin Cathedral and Altes Museum area, with the free Humboldt-Box that you can go up for panoramic views of the area which featured an exhibition on the newly renovated castle in the back that’s been down for quite a few years. There’s the Neues Museum, the Bode Museum, and several top-notch galleries. It’s between the center and Alexandarplatz, which basically means you can walk to all of Berlin’s main attractions.
Shall we go for a stroll around the island?
Location:
Good base for your Berlin explorations, and, ofcourse, for all your museum needs.
