More cable cars in Hokkaido? you got it. A quick daytrip from Sapporo, where I spent most of the last summer, is the lovely Niseko area, well known as a great ski resort. Since I love cable cars and just can’t get enough of them, when given the choice between going up the mountain for grand views of Hokkaido from above or soaking in Japanese hotsprings, I was one of the few who went up the rope way. Let me tell you, the Niseko-Annupuri is one long ride, and even of a very hot summer day it gets pretty chilly up there, I can’t even imagine what it must be like when the cold -40c Hokkaido winters hit. The views from above. as expected, are absolutely spectacular, that whole region is breath-taking, and some of the tall mountains reach as high as the clouds.
Shall we take the cable car and go up?

Was part of an organized daytrip from Sapporo, one of many tourist options that takes you around Niseko for a day. You could also rent a car in Sapporo and just explore the area. Plenty of cable car and tall mountains with amazing views for you to try.
