To me, the top attraction while visiting Danang at the center of Vietnam, were the marble mountains. About 20 min down south are five marble and limestone hills rising out of nowhere. Offering grand views of Danang and the central Vietnam coastline, you can hike all over the mountains, going up to mountain top to take in the view or explore hidden caves and underground temples. Either walk up, or take an elevator half way, there is an easy map to guide you through the many attractions. Some of the stops require climbing, but it’s all well worth it, and the views from the top are breathtaking. In the area are lots of marble statue shops to explore once you’re done roaming around.
Shall we hike up?
Few steps from the elevator…
And a series of steps…
And you’ll hit the first of many funky caves with little Buddhas and worship temples in them…
If you hike up the stairs to the top…
To me, this was the nicest of them caves…
And this the best view…
I spent around 4 hours exploring the hills…
And finally walked down to see some marble shops and head back to Danang…
