Lan Kwai Fong, the party center of Hong Kong, keeps coming up with new events to attract people. It seems like there’s always something going on. October was Oktoberfest, so we got a whole month month of German beer parties. Before that in July we had the Music and Beer Fest, in May the Beer & Food Festival, a bit after October -the annual Halloween LKF parties. You catch the drift, don’t you?
Yep, it’s a well oiled marketing machine all aimed at making you party and drink beer, and it does the job. People come, and people seem to have fun. This month we had the Lan Kwai Fong Carnival (2011).
So, yeah, I went and had a look…
To make this seem like a carnival, they had some dancing girls. Here, take a look at the videos :
Random beer competitions …
Performing artists, like this Yoyo guy …
It did occasionally had the wild party feel to it…
Atleast as far as the expat-tourist folks were concerned. Perhaps it got crazier after I left.
Other than that…
Some street artists –
Some cute promotion girls –
Some food & drinks –
Some CSers –
Some spongy things –
and various tourists mingling together (or… mainlanders taking photos with drunk white tourists) –
Always nice to have a reason to grab another beer, ain’t it?
