On my last day in Geneva I had a few extra hours before my flight, and since the airport is very close to the city I decided to had out and spend these hours walking north from Lake Geneva up to Parc Barton and the botanical gardens. It’s a gorgeous green walk and the Geneva lake is very calming and scenic. On the way back I was even able to get a sneak peak at the United Nations palace of nations. All together, the park, the gardens, the lake, took my 3 hours, and I took the bus back and made it to the airport with plenty of time to spare, somewhat regretting I didn’t linger longer. It’s a great way to spend a few hours to a day.
