It’s been over a year since I visited Guadalajara and going back to revisit some of the memories, I realized that I have not done justice to this lovely city and have yet to share some of what the historic center has to offer. The whole historic center is walkable, and I strongly recommend that you stay somewhere close, and its filled with charm and little attractions. The best thing you can do when you arrive is to start walking and get lost, taste whatever you find on the street booths or the little side shops, and explore.
To sum up my visit to Guadalajara, here is my final walking tour of the city…
Plaza Fundadores
Rotonda de los Jaliscienses Ilustres
Plaza de armas
Catedral de Guadalajara
Walking around the historic center
and a bit off from the center, but an area well worth visiting…
Tlaquepaque
Was a great short getaway from the freezing cold Illinois. Hope to come back and explore Mexico more some day soon.
