Girona was my first stop on the eastern Spain trip, since that’s where cheap Ryan Air flights land, but Girona is definitely deserving of a visit. It has a lovely historic Jewish quarter area and the panoramic views from the University of Girona campus from the top hill are terrific. Wanting to get a sense of Spanish campus life, the first place I went to visit was the campus, and found it to be quite international with lots of international students and many languages spoken everywhere. One of the cool things you can do when visiting the campus is the old city wall walk that goes around the campus towards the hill top, and into some historic gardens into the heart of the Jewish Quarter. It’s a lovely way to spend 2-3 hours and get a feel for the city.
Let’s go for a walk on the wall..

Probably the first thing you want to do when you start your Girona tour.
