In my last day visiting Barcelona, I joined a local expat for a final exploration of the city. I was looking for a place that would be central but new and impressive, and was taken to Font Magica de Montjuic. We started with a rooftop view over the Plaça d’Espanya from the nearby shopping mall, then walk up the Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina to the Font Magica de Montjuic. Can ofcourse visit the palace if you want some art, and a bit further up the hill there’s the impressive Olympic Village. Every night the fountain lights up and starts dancing for almost half an hour, and that’s worth staying for. Around the fountain are lots of street artists, and food/drinks booths.

So, overall, a great way to wrap up a wonderful visit to Barcelona, definitely an area worth exploring.
