During my last month in Europe before heading off to Central America and relocating to Asia, I tried to do as much as I could around Europe, and that included heading off to the German side of Switzerland to explore cities I’ve long wanted to see. I finally made it to Zurich, arriving late night, and beginning my exploration of the city at dark, and exploring a bit of the nightlife on the east side of the river.
The following day I joined the free walking tours of Zurich and join the group to get my bearing of the city and some of the background to later spend the whole day roaming around and taking it all in. Walking all the way from the north city center Park Platzspitz down through the old town on both sides of the river, all the way to the botanical gardens and Zürichhorn. I climbed churches, went on rooftops, went underground, roamed through parks, it was overall a very enjoyable time.
