It was a crazy overwhelming 3 weeks in India. I don’t even know where to start with the 2 gigs of photos and videos I have.

3 weeks of India travel - Summary

This is the Lonely Planet India map with a yellow line highlighting the route I did. You can see it was a bit spread out, starting off from going south to Goa, then flying north to meet my dad, covering the northern Rajastan area and then heading down to warm up in the southern area of India. India is a huge country, so what might seem like a small detour is actually hours of either train/bus/taxi ride or a flight. Thinking about it, it was a bit crazy.

Originally, the trip was planned to be really chilled out, without much moving around, but it ended being pretty busy, especially in the Rajastan area. Here’s the general outline of the India trip :

  • Mumbai
  • Pune
  • Panaji
  • Goa beaches (3 nights)
  • Delhi (2 nights)
  • Rishikesh (2 nights) – my dad joined the trip.
  • Agra
  • Jaipur
  • Pushkar (2 nights)
  • Jodphur
  • Udaipur
  • Bangalore
  • Cochin (2 nights)
  • Mumbai (2 nights)

More details on each of those will follow in the next few days.

How did you manage to do all that in just 3 weeks

That’s a lot of ground to cover in a short time. My first time in India was a similar trip, though not quite the same places, but it took me 6 months.
